Why We Need to Go Beyond the Advice to ‘Do What You Love’
This may be good advice, but it shouldn’t end there.
Fellow college classmates at the University of Dallas, Julia Hogan and Maria Walley met when she interviewed Maria about a bad breakup for a psychology research paper exploring the role of technology in modern relationships. It goes without saying that Maria had a lot to say.
Years later, they independently began writing for Verily where their paths happily crossed again. Since graduation, Julia has pursued a career as a psychotherapist, while Maria delved into the world of marketing and advertising and co-founding photography tech startup, Kandid.ly. Both freelance writers as equally fascinated by pop culture as the Millennial species, Maria and Julia love analyzing the human experience for fun.
