It’s an all-too-familiar feeling for those of us who live in northern climates: the days get shorter and shorter, the temperatures drop lower and lower, and precious moments of sunshine begin to feel few and far between. (And if you happen to live in the upper Midwest, Snowmageddon has already begun!)
Many of us naturally experience a mood slump this time of year, and November sometimes marks its beginning. If you need a quick pick-me-up, upbeat music can do the trick. I was surprised that indie music, my go-to soundtrack for melancholic afternoons, actually has a sunny side: indie rock artists like Bronze Radio Return and Moon Taxi never fail to lift my mood. Late-fall blues, begone!
