A Not-Yet-Christmas Playlist

Christmas music tends to polarize otherwise happy, agreeable people. The enthusiasts dive into it as soon as the weather cools down, while the December-only crowd is offended when stores begin playing it before Halloween.

I’m in the after-Thanksgiving camp, but that doesn’t mean I won’t still tiptoe toward “O Tannenbaum” in the meantime. This playlist features Vince Guaraldi, famed Charlie Brown composer. While there is one or two tracks from A Charlie Brown Christmas (couldn’t resist), it’s mostly a mix of his other works—some Charlie Brown, some not, but all marvelous jazz.

So whether you’ve already begun listening to Christmas music or you’re still waiting patiently, enjoy these cozy tracks along with a cup of tea, a good book, or your next dinner party.
