To be honest, our favorite red carpet looks from last night's Academy Awards were somewhat of an easy decision. Amidst a sea of plunging necklines and sky-high slits, there were a few true shinning, elegant stars. From classic silhouettes in stark black and white, to old-school glamour with glittering sequins and soft, gauzy ethereal florals and pinks, the actors below really blew us away.

It seems the best actress nominees planned their ensembles in shimmering whites and silvers - sigh, we're dreaming of Felicity Jones's Alexander McQueen satin ball gown! Reese Witherspoon stunned in a mod, monochromatic black and white dress. While expecting Keira Knightley looked positively glowing in her soft and playful Valentino floral number. Octavia Spencer's off-the-shoulder grecian gown draped beautifully and the delicate embroidered details added just the right amount of sparkle. Which look was your favorite?
